Breschi Wins 2016 Washington's Crossing in Largest Field Ever Jake Breschi opened up a sizable lead and negotiated the tidal currents perfectly on his way to winning the 5th Washington's Crossing in a time of 23:02. Stephanie Ewert became the Queen of the River, leading all women and second place overall in a time of 26:42. This year's crossing included swimmers from ages 12 to James Gray, 80, who received thundering applause as he crossed the finish line. Swimmers came from Massachusetts to Florida and as far west as Colorado. |
